Seminar on Community Service Based on Study Programs 2024: Strengthening Commitment to Community Service

STAIN Kepri – The P3M (Center for Community Service) of STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Kepri held a seminar on community service based on study programs online on Monday, October 14, 2024. This event was attended by a team of community service members who presented six different projects, reviewers, a moderator, and the P3M team of STAIN Kepri.

The reviewers for this event were Prof. Dr. H. Samsul Nizar, M.Ag, and Dr. Julina, S.E., M.Si, while the moderator was Roby Patria, M.Pd. In his opening remarks, the Chairman of STAIN emphasized the importance of the completion of the pending Community Service Reports, considering that this service is based on the Management Based System (SBM). Furthermore, the support of the reviewers is crucial to ensure that the outputs and outcomes of these community service projects contribute to the future accreditation of the campus.

Dr. Julina emphasized the importance of community service as a mutual learning process. “Community service is not just about financial support, but about how we can share and strengthen our connections,” she said. She expressed her hope that this service would be sustainable and have a positive impact in the future.

During the commentary session, Prof. Dr. H. Samsul Nizar provided feedback on the need for deeper studies from the perspective of Islamic Studies, as well as the importance of research findings in relation to the vision and mission of the study programs. He also emphasized the need for careful consideration of all theories used.

Abd. Rahman, M.Sos, as the head of P3M STAIN Kepri, emphasized the importance of the feedback provided by both reviewers to serve as evaluation material for improving the reports and ensuring timely upload to the Litapdimas account by the community service members.

This seminar is expected to strengthen STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Kepri’s commitment to community service and improve the quality of research and community service conducted by STAIN Kepri faculty members.[]
